Hey everyone, I have been feeling guilty about my lack of juicy info to share on this blog lately!! My other local design business has kinda stolen most of my time and to say sorry, and to be excited about my FAVORITE time of year, I am having an “Almost Summer Sale!” 25% off ANYTHING in my shop, just use promo code: ALMOSTSUMMER
Blog Design Inspiration: Watercolor
I have been working on a “watercolor” type blog design for one of my favorite clients lately :) and I have found lots of great sites for inspiration. I thought I would share those with you, because I love them!

Need some feedback…
1. Obviously, I have been working on a new look for the website. I like it…. somewhat, but I am not set on it yet, so don’t be surprised if I keep changing things on you. What do you think? Is it bad??? I feel like I just can’t ever design for myself! I am always in the groove when designing for others, but for myself, I get stuck. JUST KIDDING! After looking at the new design this morning, I decided that I REALLY didn’t like it! Sorry about my designing A.D.D. I will be sticking with this design for a bit longer :)
2. I am working on a WordPress Blog Design Course, and new WordPress tutorials. So if you have any suggestions on what you want to know, please share.
3. Lastly, VERY SOON I will be announcing my brand new site! So just get excited for that :)
What’s Up?
I hope everyone is gearing up for a fun Thanksgiving! I just wanted to take a second and let you know what is up in my world.
1. Emails/Comments: I have received so many awesome emails and comments lately, and I REALLY WISH I had the time to address every single one of them (really I do!), but unfortunately, not only do I run this blog, but I also have a “boring” business (jk, I love it – check it out here: dforte.com ) and I have 2 cute kids and husband that need my attention. Anyway, I have gotten really busy with work lately, I certainly will continue to post, make tutorials, cute things for my shop, and hopefully more video courses…. I just may not be able to respond to every email I receive. I hope you can understand.
2. Holidays: Oh, I am so excited for the Holidays! I have lots planned with my family, and hopefully I will have a chance to drop you some cute freebies soon :)
3. Blogger – DIY Blog Design Course: So I know that I have posted a lot about this already, but I have been so overwhelmed by the great feedback on the course so far! You can get more details on the course here. Don’t forget, that it is on sale only for the rest of November! I was so touched by this kind comment and had to share it:
- I got my Makin Cute Blogs course late yesterday. Last night we were out of town staying at a hotel and I managed to get through the first 4 sections (via my laptop)… Yes, I was up late, but I didn’t want to stop watching and learning. So far I am TOTALLY impressed!!! You’ve done a amazing job with it. Your talking pace is perfect and it’s very informative. I got home a little while ago, made my first signature via Pixlr and then blogged all about your great course :) I put a couple of links to your site in my blog. I will definitely be recommending your course to anyone that will listen… Thanks for making it available!
